The Purple Butterfly web site is a place of solace designed as a friendly and informative site dedicated to the support and education of those suffering from lupus and their families/friends, especially for women, children and parents of color. It is dedicated to the memory of Jamila Aisha Jones (The Purple Butterfly).

THE PURPLE BUTTERFLY, INC. is an organization organized, operated and conducted as a non-profit Corporation in accordance with the Georgia Nonprofit Corporation Code. THE PURPLE BUTTERFLY, INC. functions for charitable and educational purposes, primarily to educate and inform the general public; particularly women, youth and minority communities, regarding diseases, such as LUPUS, in particular, and other physical, social and environmental conditions that disproportionately affect these segments of the population.

This site may answer some of the questions you have about Lupus. However, it is not designed, nor should it be used as a substitute for medical supervision. Patients or family members are advised to work in close partnership with medical professionals.
